The Mono-rail V is a fixed bridge used on certain Ibanez electric bass models. It is also referred to as the Mono-rail 5, the MR5, or the MR-5. It replaced the Mono-rail IV.

As its name implies the Mono-rail V bridge anchors only a single string as opposed to most bridges used on basses which anchor all four (or more) of the strings. This allows each individual bridge to be mounted at the ideal location to provide perfect intonation. Because of the flexibility this design affords it is used on multi scale basses with fanned frets, although it is also used on many guitars with traditional straight frets.

The design allows for equalized tension across all strings while isolating each string so that it vibrates optimally without impacting any others. The saddle can be moved fore and aft to adjust intonation. Intonation is set by adjusting the position of the saddle using the longitudinal positioned Philips screw at the rear of the bridge. 

The Mono-rail V bridge was introduced for 2015 on the Soundgear Prestige SR5000, SR5005, and SR5006. It has been used on several models in the Soundgear and BTB series.

Shipping Options

For customers who prefer an alternative service, USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, and UPS 2nd Day Air are also available at calculated rates during checkout.

Delivery Estimates

USPS Delays & Lost Packages

USPS Ground Advantage is an economical service, but transit times can occasionally be longer than the estimated 2–5 business days. If your package appears to be significantly delayed, we are happy to help.

USPS requires that we wait at least 7 business days from the mailing date before submitting a Missing Mail request and 15 days before a package can be considered lost for purposes of a claim.

Packaging

We take care to package orders securely while minimizing unnecessary waste. Whenever practical, we may use clean, recycled packing materials.
