EXL165 is a popular D'Addario hybrid bass set combining the high strings from an EXL170 (.45 and .60) with the low strings from an EXL160 (.85 and .105). This set is optimal for players looking for the ideal combination of a comfortable playing tension with distinctive brightness and booming, tight lows. Fits super long scale basses with a string scale length of up to 38 inches.

All XL strings are precision wound on our exclusive digitally-controlled machines, ensuring each string has excellent intonation, clear fundamentals, and unparalleled consistency. Each string is wound with a nickelplated steel wrap wire known for distinctive bright tone with excellent magnetic output delivering a universally appealing and versatile tone for all playing styles.

Shipping is available via USPS or UPS. Discounted rates are calculated at checkout and may vary based on order size, weight, and destination. We offer free economy shipping to the contiguous United States on full-priced orders of $99 or more. This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts.

USPS Ground Advantage is our default economy shipping option. While this service typically offers an expected delivery timeframe of 2-5 business days from the date of shipping, significant delays with this service are not uncommon. Please be advised that, as per USPS policy, we must wait at least 7 business days after the mailing date to submit a missing mail request and 15 days for a lost package claim.
