These bushings effectively reduce the size of the tuner mounting holes in a guitar's headstock. This enables the installation of vintage-styled (press-in bushing) stamped-steel tuning machines on a headstock that was originally equipped with modern-style (screw-in bushing) sealed keys. Allows for tuner conversion without the need to plug and re-drill the peg-holes.
The wide outer flange helps minimize the visibility indentations left in the headstock from the washers previously used with screw-in bushings. They fit tuners with a 1/4" post.
