These small brass sleeves can covert a split-shaft potentiometer to a 1/4" solid-shaft. Easy and reusable, simply slide them over. They are most commonly used to attach knobs designed for a 1/4" solid-shaft pot, which require a set screw to tighten, onto a split-shaft potentiometer.

They work if you are careful.

They work if you are careful. The metal is thin and you can collapse them easily with the set screw for the knob. Make sure your split shaft knob is not collapSed and on a solid part of the shaft. I ruined one of them pretty easily

I'm sorry that you had trouble with this product: For proper functionality, the sleeve must be placed fully over a shaft that has not been previously collapsed.
