This genuine Taylor Guitars replacement preamp is designed for right-handed T5 and T5z models with controls located on the bass-side upper bout.

Compatibility

Fits T5 and T5z models with bass-side upper-bout controls. It does not fit single F-hole models with controls located on the treble-side lower bout.

Important Notes

If your instrument was made before 2013, it may have an earlier preamp design with hardwired connections. Please compare your existing preamp carefully before ordering.

For earlier hardwired installations, the required battery connector cable, 5-way switch, and output jack assembly may also need to be replaced. Please refer to the corresponding replacement parts for your instrument.

Professional installation is strongly recommended. Improper installation may result in damage to the product and/or instrument.

We ship orders throughout the United States via USPS and UPS. Shipping rates are discounted from standard retail rates and are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order.

Shipping Options

USPS Ground Advantage is our standard economy shipping option. Delivery is typically 2–5 business days from the date of shipment.

For customers who prefer an alternative service, USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, and UPS 2nd Day Air are also available at calculated rates during checkout.

Please note that the shipping method selected does not affect our handling time.

All shipments include tracking information.

Delivery Estimates

Estimated arrival dates shown at checkout are provided as a courtesy and are based on the carrier's expected transit times. While most orders arrive within the estimated timeframe, carrier delays can occasionally occur and are outside of our control.

USPS Delays & Lost Packages

USPS Ground Advantage is an economical service, but transit times can occasionally be longer than the estimated 2–5 business days. If your package appears to be significantly delayed, we are happy to help.

USPS requires that we wait at least 7 business days from the mailing date before submitting a Missing Mail request and 15 days before a package can be considered lost for purposes of a claim.

Packaging

We take care to package orders securely while minimizing unnecessary waste. Whenever practical, we may use clean, recycled packing materials.

Nope, not again!

Be careful what you buy. Do your research. This description says it fits T5/T5z guitars. I have a T5, but this part only fits certain models that wasn't made clear in the description. There is NO customer service to speak of. They don't offer a way to call. You have to use email. I sent the email and never heard anything from anyone. Wasted money spent. If I could give them a zero rating, I would!

Delivered As Ordered

The part was delivered in a reasonable time. I installed it, but my T5z still didn't work correctly, so the part I ordered was not the problem. I had ordered and installed anothe part that I purchased from Guitar Repair Parts, but that wasn't the issue either. But Guitar Repair doesn't let you return parts that you have opened the package or installed, so I'm out $160 and still have a guitar which is not working properly. I understand that that is their policy, but I think they should adopt a policy that charges you a small restocking fee like other electronics distributors use.
